4x100 bolt pattern: which cars use it, and what actually swaps
Added · Updated
Which cars on ChassisDex use the 4x100 bolt pattern, and do their wheels swap?
All 5 of these cars use 4x100: the Mazda Miata NA (1990-1997), with a 54.1 mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug thread; the Mazda Miata NB (1999-2005 US model years), with a 54.1 mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug thread; the Mazda Miata ND (2016-present US model years), with a 54.1 mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug thread; the Honda Civic EG (1992-1995) and Civic del Sol (1993-1997), with a 56.1 mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug thread; the Honda Civic EK (1996-2000), with a 56.1 mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug thread. A shared bolt pattern alone does not mean a wheel fits: hub bore, offset, width, brake clearance and lug thread/seat must also work. Only the sourced answers below are fitment verdicts.
Cars with 4x100
Mazda Miata NA (1990-1997)
| Bolt pattern | 4x100 |
|---|---|
| Hub (center) bore | 54.1 mm |
| Lug thread | M12x1.5 |

Mazda Miata NB (1999-2005 US model years)
| Bolt pattern | 4x100 |
|---|---|
| Hub (center) bore | 54.1 mm |
| Lug thread | M12x1.5 |
| Factory wheel sizes |
|
| Note | Sources disagree on the offset of the 1999-2000 14-inch base wheel. |

Mazda Miata ND (2016-present US model years)
| Bolt pattern | 4x100 |
|---|---|
| Hub (center) bore | 54.1 mm |
| Lug thread | M12x1.5 |
| Lug seat | conical (taper) seat |
| Factory wheel sizes |
|
| Note | Mazda decks for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2024 were read; 2020-23 and 2025+ were not (their deck URLs returned errors). Brembo/BBS package cars run BBS forged 17-inch wheels (size not printed). The 2024 deck prints the Sport wheel as 16 x 6 in., unlike 16 x 6.5 in earlier decks; unresolved. Mazda decks and the 2016 manual print no factory offset; two enthusiast sources (a fitment guide and the Miata.net wheel table) give 45 mm, so it is not listed as a factory spec here. A wheel-weight table lists the 2016 GT 17x7 at 17.8 lb. Tire pressure 200 kPa (29 psi) front and rear on both sizes. |

Honda Civic EG (1992-1995) and Civic del Sol (1993-1997)
| Bolt pattern | 4x100 |
|---|---|
| Hub (center) bore | 56.1 mm |
| Lug thread | M12x1.5 |
| Factory wheel sizes |
|
| Note | Goodyear pages were read for 1992 and 1995 Civic and 1994 del Sol only; 1993-94 Civic sizes by trim are not confirmed (Honda TSB 93-029 names P165/70R13 and P175/70R13 as original sizes on 1992-94 cars, without trims). Offset: Honda prints none in sources read; BoltPattern HQ and TiresWheels say 45 mm, and WheelPrice's factory table gives ET45 for a 14x5.5 DX/LX wheel and ET50 for a 15x6 Si wheel (which conflicts with the retailer's 14-inch Si tire), so no factory offset is listed. Lug seat: Honda prints none in sources read; BoltPattern HQ's 1995 page says to check conical vs spherical by trim, so it is left blank here. Del Sol data comes from an enthusiast guide, a tire retailer and Tirefolio, not Honda. |

Honda Civic EK (1996-2000)
| Bolt pattern | 4x100 |
|---|---|
| Hub (center) bore | 56.1 mm |
| Lug thread | M12x1.5 |
| Lug seat | conical (60 degree), per one wheel-spec reference (BoltPattern HQ); Honda prints none in sources read |
| Factory wheel sizes |
|
| Note | Tire sizes come from a tire retailer's year pages (1996-2000) plus Honda's 1999 Si press release. The retailer lists 175/70R13 for the 1996 CX/DX and 185/65R14 for the CX/DX from 1997; these are different model years, so the CX/DX size is split by year (1996 13-inch, 1997-2000 14-inch). Offset: Honda prints none in sources read; BoltPattern HQ (1998 page) and TiresWheels (1995-2001 page) both say 45 mm, so no factory offset is listed by trim. |
