What fits a Mazda Miata ND (2016-present US model years), and what goes wrong with it?
As of 2026-10-26, ChassisDex has 27 fitment answers, 13 known problems and 7 build entries for this car, each linked to its sources and rated with a confidence tier. Generation basics first, then every entry.
| Years | 2016-present (US model years) |
|---|---|
| Trims | Soft top: Sport, Club, Grand Touring (2016 adds a Launch Edition per a buying guide). RF (Retractable Fastback) from the 2017 model year, Club and Grand Touring only. Packages read in Mazda decks: Brembo/BBS (Club MT, 2016+), Brembo/BBS Recaro (2018), GT-S (GT MT, 2019). |
| Engine | 2.0L Skyactiv-G inline-four in every US ND. ND1 (2016-18): 155 hp at 6,000 rpm, 148 lb-ft at 4,600, 6,800 rpm redline. ND2 (2019+): 181 hp at 7,000 rpm, 151 lb-ft at 4,000, 7,500 rpm redline, low-inertia dual-mass flywheel. 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. |
| Notes | Back to 4x100 after the NC's 5x114.3, with a 54.1 mm hub like the NA/NB. Enthusiast sub-generations (Mazda never named them): ND1 2016-18, ND2 2019+ (more power, tilt-and-telescoping column), and the 2024+ refresh often called ND3 (8.8-inch screen, asymmetric LSD on Club and GT manual). Factory LSD is manual-only. US 2016-17 cars use indirect (ABS wheel-speed) tire pressure monitoring; a vendor says 2018+ cars have in-wheel sensors. |

Wheel and hub specs
| Bolt pattern | 4x100 |
|---|---|
| Hub (center) bore | 54.1 mm |
| Lug thread | M12x1.5 |
| Lug seat | conical (taper) seat |
| Factory wheel sizes |
|
| Note | Mazda decks for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2024 were read; 2020-23 and 2025+ were not (their deck URLs returned errors). Brembo/BBS package cars run BBS forged 17-inch wheels (size not printed). The 2024 deck prints the Sport wheel as 16 x 6 in., unlike 16 x 6.5 in earlier decks; unresolved. Mazda decks and the 2016 manual print no factory offset; two enthusiast sources (a fitment guide and the Miata.net wheel table) give 45 mm, so it is not listed as a factory spec here. A wheel-weight table lists the 2016 GT 17x7 at 17.8 lb. Tire pressure 200 kPa (29 psi) front and rear on both sizes. |
