What is ChassisDex?
ChassisDex is a free, independent fitment and build-knowledge reference for the 2002-2007 Subaru Impreza WRX (GD/GG) and the 1990-2005 Mazda Miata (NA and NB). It is for owners, buyers and builders of those cars. It answers "will this part fit my car?" questions, lists known problems with causes and fixes, and groups modifications by goal, with every claim linked to its public sources and rated with a confidence tier and a last-verified date.
Who is it for?
- Owners checking whether a wheel, brake, hardtop, engine or interior part from another year or model will fit their car before they buy it.
- Buyers who want the known problems of a given year, with causes and fixes, before they look at a car.
- Builders planning modifications by goal (reliability, cooling, suspension, brakes, wheels and tires, drivetrain, power).

How is it made?
- Every fitment answer, known problem and build entry links to the public sources it is based on: manufacturer documents, parts retailers and dealers, magazines, club articles and owner forums.
- Each claim carries a confidence tier: Confirmed (a manufacturer document, or two or more independent sources agree), Reported (one reputable source) or Limited (forum or partial detail). Safety-critical parts are capped at Reported unless a manufacturer document backs them.
- Each page shows when it was added, when it was last updated, and when its sources were last read.
- Summaries are in our own words. Where sources disagree, the page says so.
