Top-mount intercooler upgrade Reported
Two retailer listings show 2002-07 WRX fitment. A vendor test on a ~305 hp car at 20-22 psi reported a 14 hp gain and 30°F lower intake temps versus the stock STI intercooler (vendor claim). Torque Solution notes a 2008+ STI Y-pipe kit is required for 2002-07 WRX.
Caveats: Vendor figures are marketing claims. Check CARB legality for your state (Torque Solution lists 'No').
