It depends on the car’s condition and how you use it. These are the 1 brakes build entry we have sourced for this car: Brake upgrades: Performance Package Brembos yes, STI Brembos no (Limited). Each lists caveats, related problems and sources so you can match it to your goal.
Brake upgrades: Performance Package Brembos yes, STI Brembos no Limited
Base ZN6 owners who want a factory-style upgrade retrofit the 2017+ BRZ Performance Package Brembos, with their larger rotors and front bracket. Brembo's US partner advises against using WRX STI Brembo calipers on this car because of bleeding, pad-taper and brake-bias problems. Your wheels must clear whichever calipers you fit.
Caveats: Retrofit evidence is forum-only, and the PP front bracket and dust shields are reported discontinued in the US. This is brake work: use the service manual torque figures and bleed procedure.
Parts: 2017-20 BRZ Performance Package Brembo brakes (4-piston front, 2-piston rear), STI front brake pads in the BRZ Performance Package Brembo caliper, 2004-2007 STI front Brembo calipers
