Added · Updated
What are the best brakes mods for the BMW 3 Series (E36, 1992-1999)?
It depends on the car’s condition and how you use it. These are the 1 brakes build entry we have sourced for this car: Bigger front brakes: E46 330i 325 mm setup on a non-M E36 (Limited). Each lists caveats, related problems and sources so you can match it to your goal.
Bigger front brakes: E46 330i 325 mm setup on a non-M E36 Limited
Fit E46 330i front rotors with the matching 330i calipers and carriers, in place of the E36's 286 mm fronts. E36 M3 fronts need M3 spindles and are a bigger job.
Caveats: Needs 17-inch wheels; most 16s will not clear. Bias moves forward and pedal travel may grow. Forum and retailer sources only.
Parts: E46 330i front brakes (325 x 25 mm rotors, calipers and carriers), E36 M3 front brakes (315 mm) with M3 spindles, for a non-M E36, E36 factory brake disc sizes (non-M, compact, M3)
