What causes "PRHT crunches or is hard to open (2007 TSB 09-038/07)" on the Mazda Miata NC (2006-2015 US model years), and how is it fixed?
Clearance between the male wedge on the body and its receiver on the deck is too tight; production changed the wedge shape. Fix: Dealers replace the male wedge and both cam plates on 2007 PRHT cars with VINs below ...142750.
Symptoms
A crunching noise and difficulty lowering the Power Retractable Hardtop from fully closed.
